Fruit Season Chart by Month

It’s boring eating those same fruits every day when nature has an abundant variety of flavors in the form of seasonal fruits. Knowing seasonal fruits help you in various ways. One, you can always choose the fresh produce and enjoy their nutritional benefits to the fullest. Two, you’ll have new fruits to look forward to every month!

Seasons are constantly changing throughout the months. Most citrus fruits are abundant in December, January, and February. But as soon as March approaches, we see a decrease in these fruits as they cannot grow in colder climates.

Once the climate starts getting warmer in March, the fruits get less dense and have more water content, for example, Pineapples and Strawberries. We see the same fruits in April and May with the inclusion of more kinds of berries because of the almost same climate

June is the peak of the hot season, and we get the most refreshing fruits in this month like Watermelon, Plums, and flavorful berries. July and August, also being hot months, have the same fruits.

Once the weather starts to get cooler in September, fruits like apples, pears, and pomegranates grace us with their arrival. These fruits generally require warmer climates to grow and are harvested in cooler months such as September, October and November.

It’s a lot to remember right, just use our month-wise fruit chart to remember all fruits by month:

Season Wise Fruit Chart

Everything in nature is perfectly designed, which can also be seen in the characteristics of seasonal fruits. Have you ever wondered how summer fruits have such high water content for example, Watermelon, Pineapple and Berries.

All these are mostly water and help meet our hydration needs in summer when we sweat a lot and our body requires more fluids.

Similarly, most winter fruits are rich in Vitamin C which is a great nutrient for boosting immunity. We tend to get sicker in winter than in summers so that increased immunity is highly needed!

During the spring season, we see fruits that tend to be more refreshing catering to our warmer season needs like strawberries, pineapple, mangoes, and pineapple.

While in the fall we see harder fruits with less water content like apples, pears, grapes, and pomegranates. It’s because these fruits require warmer temperatures and take longer to grow!

In every season, fruits have different benefits to offer. Take advantage of them in every season by learning when they ripen through this season-wise fruit chart:
